The Spin Crowd — Episode in Review #7 — Hungry For Love

The last episode before the season finale and we get to delve, once again, into the personal lives of the Command PR staff. This episode opens up with Jonathan telling the girls that he has to leave work early because he has a date. Whoa! Put on the breaks! The staff begins to bombard him with questions but as he is leaving the office he assures them that he will send them a TwitPic later, so thoughtful! After the opening credits, we see Jonathan and his date going to eat at Nobu in West Hollywood. He orders many different dishes but his date doesn’t seem very interested in the type of food he is asking her to eat. Turns out, she is a vegetarian. Jonathan is really going to have to make some serious eating changes if he wants to keep this girl!

The scene changes to the Command PR girls out for dinner and Lauren is really trying to get Summer to drink, even though Summer is only 19 years old. You can tell that it is really bothering Summer. Lauren leaves the table and Summer says that Lauren is really getting on her nerves pushing her to do all of this stuff. She says enough is enough. The scene switches to the Command PR West office again and everyone is wanting to get the juicy details of Jonathan’s hot date. He tells them that everything was great except for one little thing, which was the meat deal. In Jonathan’s personal interview with the camera, he tells us that he really wants to try and make this work.

As with any episode with The Spin Crowd, we always have the Command PR team trying to plan a celebrity event. This week, they are working with the ever stunning Carmen Electra. They are planning a product launch event with her new line of sexy toys to be sold by Spencers. They meet with Carmen at Katsuya at the Americana where Carmen shows them her products over lunch. Her products include, the Naughty Nite Kit, Body Glitter Kit, Strip Dice & Lover’s Dice, Pasties with tassles, and Carmen Electra’s Spank Kit. The boys are in love with the products but Jonathan makes note not to have the even turn into something trashy and dirty but to keep it fun and sexy.

Jonathan decides to give his date a second chance and she invites him to dinner at Real Food Daily – Authentic Vegan Cuisine and you can tell that Jonathan is not the least bit interested in anything that is brought to the table. His date asks him if he likes smoking, and when he tells her how disgusting he thinks it is, she tells him that a meat eater is the equivalent to her. We then switch to the event at Spencers in a Los Angeles mall. The fans are lined up, the products are out and the girls are brainstorming some fun photo ideas while setting up. Lauren is still taking a jabs at Lauren, this time, unknowingly, it seems. The guys and Carmen arrive and the event goes well. Its not a big event but went just as Jonathan and Simon hoped it would.

As the girls return back to the office, Summer confronts Lauren about the way she has been acting toward her. Lauren begins to cry and tells her that she had no idea that she was coming across that way and really did not mean it. After feeling attacked, she leaves the office and Summer comes running after her! Aww! They make up but Summer tells the camera that she knows that she and summer will never be bff, but she will now be able to dish it right back to her. Later on that night, Jonathan’s date decides to come over and cook him a Vegan meal but in the process of cooking she finds a burger wrapper in the trashcan. Jonathan lies about it and she decides they should just be friends, so that is the end of that. The next scene is Jonathan and Simon in a magazine shop with their usual banter. The pictures from the Carmen Electra event were a success and look really good.

Closing out this episode we see a sneak peak of next weeks season finale! Tear!!!! Looks like KoKo is going to propose to Erika! Simon and Jonathan get into a major fight that looks like its not going to end well for Command PR West. I’m going to have my kleenex ready! I’m not ready for the season to come to a close because I feel like we were just getting to know the team. I’m hoping E! will pick them up for a second season!

New Spin Crowd Promos!!

Summer Lovin’ — The Spin Crowd 9/26

Ok – I’m so sorry that I’m super late in writing this update but I have been so super busy with work and I’m just now being able to catch up! So, I apologize big time! This week’s episode we got to see a little taste of Summer, Command PRs youngest associate. We get to delve deeper into the personal lives of the Command PR girl’s with this episode. The episode starts off with Simon confessing to Jonathan that he needs to relate to the girls and stop being such a monster. Jonathan agrees and so the pranks begin. He tells the girls that they will be going back to LA at 5 that afternoon while he and Simon headed on out to the Hampton’s. This makes the girls really upset, especially Lauren, who begins to let Simon have it! He, then, informs them that it was just a prank and the girls are so thrilled that they are still getting to go. Then, we see Simon and Jonathan riding in the car and Simon really needs to urinate but Jonathan will not pull over so Simon does what anyone would do in that situation and pees in a cup! This show is so hilarious!

As they arrive in the Hampton’s they pull up to the Heller Estate which is a $45,000,000 home in the Hampton’s. The girls and Jonathan and Simon are just ecstatic to be there! The girls are trying their best to get Summer to date a white guy while she is in the Hamptons but Summer is leary, but the girls are on a mission to get her a hookup! The Command West team is in the Hamtpons to help Kelly Rowland promote her new single at a release party. Kelly comes to visit them at the house and she and Jonathan perform a prank on Lauren by stealing her sunglasses. Kelly tries on Lauren’s glasses and then supposedly leaves, but Jonathan whips them out and calms her down again. Before Kelly leaves, the Command girls and Kelly go walking on the beach and they find these two good looking white guys out on the beach. Summer steps out there and gets his number and asks him to come to the release party as her date. He accepts! Woo!

The girls decide to get Jonathan back by stealing his blackberry. Jonathan goes postal! This scene in the episode is hilarious because the girls are sneaking around on the floor, Simon is hiding in the bedroom and Jonathan is throwing food. It is so funny. Simon keeps telling Jonathan that Kim has sent him an email and that he needs to look at it urgent! The more Simon tells Jonathan this the more worked up Jonathan becomes. So funny! They eventually do get him back!

At the release party, Summer’s boy does come and they end up making out a ton at the party and Summer carries him home and we obviously know what the night ensues. The next morning Jonathan, Simon, and the girls are out eating breakfast on the deck and Summer comes out with her guy. He says Hello/Goodbye and leaves. Summer tells the girls that black guys will always be her thing stating, “Once you go black, you never go back!”

This episode was great in the fact that we get to see more of Summer and the girls and I’m really looking forward to next week’s episode!!

PR and the City — Episode 5–9/19

Last night’s episode was sooo good! I hope you guys were able to catch it no matter where in the United States you were! At the end of last week’s episode we saw where the Command PR West team was leaving to go to NYC to do a Gorilla Charity Event for Kim Kardashian. This episode picks up with the Command West team riding in the back of a taxi and you can feel the Manhattan energy through your tv. The team is so excited to be back in NYC and, for some of the team, this is their first time in the city. After checking into the Paramount Hotel in NYC, the team plans to meet the next morning at 9am for what Simon calls a Breakfast Pow-Wow.

At breakfast the next morning, Jonathan makes note that he has not been to his apartment that he has been working on in NYC. He left several months before in the middle of construction and has not been back to see the finished product so after breakfast the team goes to Jonathan’s penthouse apartment. This is our first introduction to SAL! Sal is Jonathan’s contractor and has been working on Jonathan’s apartment. Sal is a big guy from Brooklyn whom Jonathan refers to as “Bob Villa and Rodney Dangerfield rolled into one.” We finally get to see Jonathan’s apartment which, personally, I don’t think is quite as laid back as his LA Condo. I prefer the Condo myself. Lauren notes that entertaining there would be fun and that is when Summer suggests that Jonathan should have a housewarming party. Simon quickly interjects to make the team understand that they are there for the Gorillas and they are not there to worry about Jonathan’s housewarming party. Simon says in his personal interview that he knew that Jonathan would still have the party anyway.

Jonathan has the girls running all over the city trying to get everything he needs to have an impressive housewarming party, especially since his mother is the guest of honor. Through all of this, we can sense Simon’s stress as he goes through the run through at Dave & Buster’s by himself. Katie, being Simon’s best friend, tells Simon the truth and lets the cat out of the bag. Either way, the Even went off without a hitch and there were tons of great pictures taken. Sal was coaxed into dressing up as a gorilla and there were lots of pictures made with Kim. Of course, Jonathan still had his housewarming party which seemed to be a hit as well. Upon asking his mother what she thought of the apartment she said that she thought it was nice but it could be bigger!

We get a sneak peek into next weeks episode which looks really good! Looks like there are going to be plenty of pranks, a little Kelly Rowland, and some smooching! We can’t wait!!

The Spin Crowd Episode #4 – Should I Stay or Should I Go? Episode in Review!

Last night was a busy night for television! Especially for music lovers and Spin Crowd lovers! BUT, we all know that the show to watch was, of course, Spin Crowd. Let’s recap shall we?

After waiting a week and rewatching my Spin Crowd Episodes from iTunes, I was ready for some more JC, Simon, and Command PR! The episode begins with a little trip to the pharmacy to get Simon something “personal,” and we see our first glimpse into Jonathan and Simon’s odd relationship. This little incident of Jonathan’s nosiness was just the first step in sending Simon over the edge. Simon informs Jonathan that he has dinner plans and goes out with a friend to a very nice restaraunt, where Jonathan is blowing up Simon’s Blackberry with phone calls, bbm’s, and text messages.

The next morning at work, a new client, Danny Alex, is opening a new women’s athletics store in LA called BraVada Women’s Athletica. Danny already has Shannon Doherty (aka Brenda Walsh) to be there for the ribbon cutting ceremony but he wants Command PR to help get the media there and we all know that Jonathan and Simon and all those adorable ladies at Command PR are the ones to get the job done! Simon tells Danny he invisions a giant pair of scissors and a chic bow. Danny loves it and the plan is put into motion.

The we go back to the personal lives of Jonathan and Simon. They are riding in Jonathan’s BMW and Jonathan says that he, Simon, and Lo Bosworth were going to dinner that night when Simon informs Jonathan that he has dinner plans with his editor friend. Jonathan says they will talk about NYC when they get home but Simon says he is not having a Midnight meeting. When Jonathan does go out we see that he doesn’t go out to dinner with his editor friend, he went out with his friend Carla to the Tea Room for some cocktails. Jonathan finds out about the lie and a fight insues when Simon gets home that results in Simon going to stay the night with Katie at her apartment.

The next day is the event and Jonathan and Simon are both on edge. The jumbo scissors that Simon invisioned were finally there but they weren’t cutting anything. Simon sends Katie and Erika after a new pair of scissors. Shannon arrives at the event for the ribbon cutting ceremony but Katie and Summer are nowhere to be found, so Jonathan takes Shannon next door to a bakery for something sweet while she is waiting. The scissors finally arrive and they have the ribbon cutting ceremony but the scissors didn’t cut. Jonathan gives Shannon some real scissors and the ribbon is cut.

Although the event didn’t go off completely without a hitch, I thought Command PR handled it very well and definitely did a great job! The show ends with Jonathan and Simon having a discussion in Jonathan’s condo before the team leaves to go to New York to work on a Gorilla Charity event for Kim Kardashian. Simon informs Jonathan that he will be moving out and they both seem to agree that that is a good decision.

Throughout the episode, in little sprinkles, we are introduced to a personal side of Erika’s life, her boyfriend, Coco. Coco and Erika are celebrating their one year anniversary and Coco has a weekend getaway planned, that will require Erika to take her passport, the same weekend that Command PR will be going out to the east coast. Luckily Coco knows that this job is important to Erika and loves her enought that he postponed the weekend. We learn this in the last scene of the episode as the team is waiting at the airport and Erika is nowhere to be found. She eventually rolls up in a black SUV and saves the day as the team heads off for NY.

All in all a great episode and I’m looking forward to seeing next weeks episode with the team back in NY!

I would also like to take this little chance to wish the adorable Katie Mox a very Happy Birthday!!
